Printing Tickets - Creating the Print File
|

We recommend you print to file, and then print the tickets in batches of pages from
this saved file. Open the file and select File/Print from the Menu to print.
Open this Demo Print File in IE to see the format.
Any tickets that are not printed correctly (low ink, paper jam?) can easily be re-printed from this file.
Be sure to secure (or delete) this file after creation/printing.
Anyone with access to this file can easily re-create any ticket!
Set Ticket Start Number and Total number of Tickets dropdowns
and click Printing
to display the Print Settings Dialog.

The default setting of 'Sequence by Page and Number' will order pages out of the printer, so that when groups of pages are cut, the ticket numbers will be in sequence. For example, page 10, top left ticket is # 1,
page 2, top left ticket is #2, page 3 top left ticket is #4 etc. If you just want straight sequential numbers (without page order), select 'Sequence by Number'.
It's easy to make a few demo print files, to see how it works.
The tickets should fit on both Letter and A4 sized paper (or larger). If you use Letter, and the bottom of the page is cropped, try setting the Printer Page Size to A4 (but still use Letter).
Also, ensure the printer scale is set to 100% (not 'Shrink To Fit') and any margins are set as low as possible.
If your printer (or the printer that will actually print the tickets) prints face side down, check the
Printer Prints Face Down checkbox to re-order the pages in correct order for
perforating and cutting into groups of sequentially numbered Tickets.
You can also send the Print File to a Printing Company, to have the Tickets printed for you.

.pdf - If the printing company requires PDF file format, you can convert the XPS file in Office 2007 with
this Add-on
Or install Cute PDF Writer then in IE,
choose 'Print' and select 'CutePDF Writer' to convert the file.

Click OK to name and save the Print File to your computer. The file may take a minute or two to create,
with progress displayed. When finished, click Open Print File to open the print file in IE and inspect the tickets.
From this file, opened in IE, you can print, or re-print in batches of pages. (from page ... to page ...)
